Travel week :: of firsts, lasts and impending homesickness

This is the first time I’ve worn blue and black together and not felt like a bruise.  (It must be the pattern mixing and the dark navy.)

This is the last time I’m doubting the cuteness factor of a midi skirt. (I actually don’t feel dumpy in this number).

Travel week Thursday

This is the first time I feel comfortable and slim fully tucking in a shirt (as opposed to the half-tuck).

This is the last time I buy a shirt that hits below my hip bone. (Even my usual pull-it-away-from-your-body-to-ruche-it trick didn’t quite work).

Travel week Thursday

This is the first time I’ve found an actual dupe.  Look at this compared to this. (I mean, it’s EXACTLY the same, but waaaay cheaper!  Go, me!)

This is the last time I get to wear heels for a while.  (I can’t believe how heavy wedges are in a suitcase.  Flip flops pour moi all summer, I guess.)

Travel week Thursday

This is the first time I’m leaving my husband and the kiddos for longer than a week.

This is the last time I leave my husband and the kiddos for longer than a week without an exit strategy.

Travel week Thursday

Do I really have to go?  I’m missing them already!  Do you think it’d be tempting karma if I faked sick halfway through so I can go home early?

:: Just the facts, ma’am ::
Top – Old Navy
Skirt – Gap via eBay
Wedges – Brash @ Payless
