Yale 6th weekend :: of silliness and leaf tiaras

So my laptop went kaplooey before I left for Yale and I surrendered its dying carcass to Paul, our amazeballs IT guy, to see if he could work his magic and resuscitate it somehow even though he is an avid Mac user and has been trying to get me to convert since forever.

Well, after a flurry of back-and-forth emails within the span of hours, we got the old girl back on track. New drive, new OS. Faster. Better. Cleaner. All I have to do is transfer files and download drivers and I’m golden.

Paul says I can pay him back by featuring him on my blog. I think he was half in jest, but just in case he was serious:

That was the initial pic I got in my inbox. I was confused at first. I know Paul is a crazygood photographer but I was thoroughly bewildered as to the purpose of a photo of nature. It seemed such a visual non sequitur.

And then this came:

paul and the tiara

The message said: Good enough to be on your fashion blog?

So after I picked myself up off the floor from laughing uproariously, I decided it was just too good to pass up. I owed him one anyway, and perhaps this could be a new feature on MCC? Guest pics and fashion interpretations? Hrm…

I knew I should have used those big styrofoam ‘eyeballs’ in the lounge ‘strategically’.

  3. Well, that probably is a look that hasn’t been done to death before. ;o)

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
