Yale week 7 :: of cost per wear, wardrobe staples and status quo

How funny.

I actually wore this outfit yesterday.

(Sans wedges, of course. I had on my trusty Chucks and was supremely comfortable all day.)

The white blouse makes another appearance, as does the faboo cornmeal-yellow pants. It’s a wonderful feeling putting an outfit through its paces and discovering that it actually does work in real life as well as it does in photo shoots.

I am truly getting serious mileage on this jacket, by the way. I am definitely on my way to pennies for my CPW on this bad boy, even though I still can’t decide whether it’s navy or just faded black.

Regardless, it has seen me through rain and wind and mild humidity these past several days and j’adore the generous pockets that can hold wallet, iPhone, earbuds, and other sundry items that end up stuffed in their depths (half-eaten Atticus scone, anyone?)

Also, how about that nifty detail in the back?

I am currently working at 90% capacity and am almost back to my normal self. Yesterday, I cleared the air with concerned coworkers – they all thought I was mad at them when really, I was just sick and out of sorts – ate three squares, and completed all assigned tasks on time and with good cheer.

Here’s hoping today goes just as well and ends on a high note – after all, it’s my last official day before the madness of departure day ensues.

God bless us all.
