So today marks my last official day of summer vacation.
Tomorrow will be a travel day, the following will be recuperate and laundry day, and then real world work commences the day after that.
To say I’ve not truly had a holiday is an understatement. Frankly, I think people need to schedule adventures and vacations separately and equally. I’ve had an adventure, that’s for sure, but there’s no way I’ve spent nearly as much time on vacation.
My next real break won’t be till Christmas. I’m already counting the days…
But let’s stop with the whingeing and get back to beauty business. Since all my clothes are packed and ready to go, how about I regale you all instead with two fab nail polish colors for fall?
I present Muir Muir On the Wall (left) and Peace & Love (right) from O.P.I.:
KS#1 and I fell in love with these two shades when we were at Ulta yesterday, and we immediately made good use of them. Muir Muir is a gorgeous “blackened plum with an intense plum shimmer that has a touch of a golden duochrome to it” while Peace & Love is “a grey based duochrome…[that] doesn’t look very exciting out in the sun but it’s a stunner in the shade with a very strong duochrome that shifts from blue to purple.”
I chose the darker Muir Muir for my toes while KS#1 opted for the prismatic Peace & Love on her fingernails. We’re both extremely pleased with the colors and I’m reminded once again of yet another reason why I love having sisters. Free pedicures, anyone?
