OOTD :: of summer frocks and happy feet

The dog days of summer are almost over.

I need to make use of all the items I bought in anticipation of Yale but never packed because I was stupid. Gotta get my CPW factor up before I cull again.

This dress was a $3 thrift store purchase. It’s thin and unstructured and the design on the front, as I’d mentioned before, hints strongly of a Southern Cal surfer vibe. In a normal world, it would’ve been a three-strikes-and-you’re-out sort of dress, but the sunny yellow and the price tag swayed me. And it’s a perfect item for a non-student work day.

The cropped denim jacket is a long-time friend and favorite. It used to have elastic on the cuff which has since stretched out and I suppose I could have that fixed to get the gathered/puckered look back to the sleeve, but I can’t be bothered and it doesn’t look half bad, does it?

I already spoke of these wedges here, but I just have to point out how happy my feet are, being back in heels. I’m almost back to normal, my friends. Now if only I can get my closet back in order so I can start creating outfits again…

Ha! I’ve gotta get my teeny closet back in order, too. Cute outfit today. I really like that dress on you.

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
