HGB :: 24oz Thermos Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Hydration Bottle

thermos

I’m a great believer in water, primarily the drinking of it.

After all, by vowing to drink half my weight in ounces of water every day (this is what a marathon runner student of mine told me to do, rather than the 8 glasses a day thing), I managed to go down two dress sizes and maintain it all last year.

Okay, portion control and running the treadmill sporadically had something to do with my slimming down, but I’m putting my money on water. Water fools my body into thinking it doesn’t need that second piece of cake. Water keeps my skin oil-free and acne-clear. Water makes me feel virtuous and healthy when everyone else is ordering soda. Water is my life.

When you’re as obsessed with hydrating as much as I am, you need some heavy-duty equipment to keep up. Enter the 24oz Thermos Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Hydration Bottle.

Yep, it’s a mouthful. And it sounds so high-tech. But I’m telling you, my friends, I can’t live without it. For a mere $19.88, you too can own the awesomeness that is this water bottle. Why so effusive in my praise? Let me count the ways:

  1. It keeps ice intact for over 8 hours, even in a hot car.
  2. It matches all my outfits.
  3. It allows me to hold something in my hand that’s not a cigarette.
  4. It doubles as a weapon when need be.
  5. It’s a constant reminder to drain it and fill it up 3 times a day to meet my water allotment.

And let’s not forget the lid. It’s got a fliptop which makes it is easy to clean, unlike those bottles with built-in straws. The lid also allows for easy, spill-proof access to my water, even in moving vehicles.

Mine became so weather-beaten and battered in the mugginess of New Haven. I think I need a new one. Hubby has already promised to etch the replacement similarly on the bottom.

I am so attached to my bottle, I toted it clear across the country to New Haven this summer at the risk of going over the luggage weight limit. I nearly lost it at some point in the seven weeks and spent a frantic 24 hours feverishly tracking it down with the fierce dedication of a Sherlock/Watson team, much to the exasperation and amusement of my co-workers.

I cannot live without my 24oz Thermos Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Hydration Bottle. And if you give it a try, I bet you won’t be able to too.
