Here’s a random Hump Day thought for you: What happens to this blog when my TAs graduate?
Because a style blog without pictures is like a PBJ sandwich without the pb or the j. And without my current TAs, I might as well be that incomplete sandwich because who’s gonna take my pictures?
And much as I love my current juniors right now, there’s just no one I feel that comfortable with to entrust the arduous, demanding, ofttimes thankless job of being my early-morning photo shoot squad.
You know what this means, right? No, not buying my daughter whatever her heart desires as a bribe to be my de facto photographer. It means I have to cave and do what KS#1 insisted I do all along:
I have to buy me a decent camera. With a tripod. And a remote control.
Doing so means less fundage for my clothing habit, however, which means less new items to feature. But I guess if you’re okay with that, my friends, then I’m okay too.
Now if only I had someone to help me navigate the treacherous waters of camera purchasing – I swear, it’s worse than buying a car. I start a Google search and my brain glazes over with all this blather about SRL and aperture and lenses and whatnot.
So until someone swoops in and just tells me what to buy, how’s about I struggle silently in true martyr fashion and just discuss today’s outfit instead?
There’s actually not much to deconstruct, though, is there? I mean, it’s your regulation button-up shirt/blazer/trousers combo that’ll probably be my de rigeur uniform when the true cooler temps arrive. The only fancy-shmancy thing I can point out are the leopard pumps purchased two seasons ago that had languished forgotten in the closet depths until today.
After all, there’s only so much neutral I can take before I have to inject a bit of color or print or whimsy into my ensemble.
