Today, I’m to wear bright shoes.
If I didn’t own bright shoes, I’m supposed to wear the fanciest shoes I own that won’t make people think I’m going to the ball for a night of dancing.
Now we all know I own bright shoes, as shown here and here. And I suppose I could’ve created a new outfit incorporating either. But I’d not yet worn the ones I’m wearing today, and they look rather fancy, so I chose to fabricate an ensemble using them as the foundation.
Unfortunately, gentle reader, I purchased these shoes at Marshall’s and I can’t find a similar enough pair to link, so if you want to replicate this look, just choose your fanciest shoes and pair them with a simple color block top and coordinating pencil skirt.
NOTE: I was going to wear this dress because the colors go so well with the shoe as well as being simple enough so as not to distract. But it’s not as if I’d be doing anything different from the first iteration besides switching out the shoe, so the novelty whore in me rebelled. Good thing too, because I’ve not worn today’s top in ever, and wanting something different compelled me to actually put it to use.

P.S. I have decided that, although I think black is my signature color, it just doesn’t photograph well under the harsh light of my classroom fluorescents. Sigh…
