OOTD :: of Sweater Weather and being visible

Visible Monday is back in action! And I’m proud to say that I am officially regularly participating in it from now on. Huzzah!

But you wanna know what else makes me giddy on the first Monday back at work after a long holiday? The forecast predicts temps in the 60s, my friends, and in SoCal, that means Sweater Weather! I’ve been stockpiling my supply of cuddly things and I can’t wait to show them all off.

Of course, because this is my life, nothing can be perfect right off the bat, and today will be a balmy 76. Way too warm for wool or angora. Bah humbug.

Thank goodness for foresight and obsession. I scored this TARDIS blue number last week when I was returning something else and still had Doctor Who on the brain. I wondered about the wisdom of buying such a thin sweater, but I couldn’t pass it up for a mere $13. Plus, TARDIS blue. So it came home with me and now I’m glad it did.

I paired it deliberately with a pair of blindingly vibrant lime patterned skinnies because of Visible Monday. Otherwise, I probably would’ve gone the safer route and done black or denim bottoms. In retrospect, I’m glad I pushed the envelope because this color combo make smile, and we always need smiles on the first Monday back at work after a long holiday.

I’m also loving the statement necklace that matches the sweater’s color so perfectly yet is robust enough to be a statement necklace even in its monochrome state. I’m thinking of investing in a couple more colors of it but wouldn’t want to fall prey to FoMO again. What say you? Should I grab it in coral as well?

And before you click off for the day, how about a song to punctuate this most awesome of themes? Long live Sweater Weather!!!
