Hello, Wordless Wednesday! Thank you for permitting me to commandeer today with a few yet monumental words:

Firstly, happy anniversary to me and my humble blog. It’s been officially one whole year since my very first post (lordy, now that‘s embarrassing!) and I’m still going strong. For those of you who’ve been with me since Day 1: it’s been a helluva ride, hasn’t it? And for all my new friends: thanks for visiting my little corner of the interweb. Here’s hoping for another banner blogging year.

Secondly, to commemorate my special occasion, I am opening up shop. Yes, my friends, my body she is a-changin’ and now’s your chance to scoop up some goodies that sadly no longer settle properly on my aging frame. Have a gander at MCC’s $9.99 Boutique. You know you wanna. And check frequently. I’ll be adding loads more stuff as I slowly but surely cull ye ole closet.

  1. Hi Maricel! I just found your blog via A Bibliophile’s Style/Thoughtful Third Thursday and I love your outfits! But more importantly, your writing style is really captivating and interesting, and I thought you should know! Happy blogaversary!

    • Oh, my! What a lovely compliment! I’m always flattered when people comment on my style, but as a frustrated novelist, it’s most gratifying when people notice my writing. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you post your T3 link to both of our blogs tomorrow. You ARE participating, right?! wink, wink…nudge, nudge…

  2. Congratulations! I had to go back and see what I missed. Isn’t it fun to have a visual record? Well, sometimes it’s fun.

I LOVE this look! And I was just reading The Guardian about London Fashion Week, and some of the other articles (slow day at work), and they said tomboy fashion is IN. But tomboy with feminine additions, like the ruffle on your shirt. You’re in the vanguard!

    • Squeee! I’ve always wanted to be part of the vanguard! It was all inadvertent, I assure you. All I know is that I felt really rompin-stompin in my cowboy boots – gotta wear them more often – and I got loads of compliments on what is possibly the least thought-out outfit of the week. Funny how that happens, yeah?

You joining me for T3 tomorrow?!

  3. Congratulations and felicitations! *Party poppers and streamers*

I can’t think of a better way to start a shop, you’ve already shown how well you can wear the items and how they can be mixed matched plus they are obviously in good condition. Excellent timing!

Love the outfit, smart-casual worn with fun and confidence 😀

    • LOL! For a brief moment there, I thought you’d said “party pooper”. Thanks for the felicitations. I really am quite proud of myself for having followed through with something in my life. I’m known to lose interest very quickly; have a low threshold for boredom. Must be all the lovely ladies I’ve met along the way, yeah? ;p

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
