OOTD :: of chartreuse’s comeback and backwards dressing

Okay, so maybe I ought to have worn this top right side forward. Because you’ve gotta admit – that blue and those ladies are pretty darned striking.

But I was really charmed by the fact that the color of the back of the top went perfectly with the color of my flouncy skater skirt. Worn this way, doesn’t it look as if they were made for each other?

Also, I’m really just enjoying the comeback of neon yellow/chartreuse; I read once that it was a Gemini’s signature color, and as the quintessential Gemini, I feel honor-bound to stay true to my astrological sign.

Other than that, I’ve really not got much more to say about this outfit except that, with this penultimate ensemble, I am truly rediscovering my appreciation for Custo tops. In my rush to acquire as many as I could, I’d forgotten the reason I fell in love with them in the first place.

This week has changed that. I’m once again enamored of the quirky designs and the vibrant colors. And I’m also realizing another bonus, especially after today’s OOTD: it’s like you get two tops for the price of one.

My only quibble is that that black piping of this one’s neckline makes me look like I’m being garrotted. Or is it just me?

  1. I see what you mean about the black piping, but then, you wore it backwards. I like it this way, though. How fun to have the two options – they should make the necklines for their tops reversible.

This is my favorite of your outfits this week. You look great in skater skirts!

    • Last season, I lived in skinny jeans. I think this season, it’s all about skater skirts. And now imagine this outfit only with cognac knee high flat boots because the weather turned. Still super fun and comfy and I’m pleased that this outfit can transcend temperature.

    • Thanks, Ariane! I stopped by your blog today and have to mention how much I adore your haircut and your sass. Thanks for visiting and I hope you won’t be a stranger.

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
