Treasure Tuesday :: to scavenge or not to scavenge…

So, my dilemma: Greenthumb has a brand new list for August. This is my last week ofย  Summer Edition. I am a completist. I also really love this feature.

What do I do?

Do I…

  1. continue with Treasure Tuesdays throughout the year as-is, with my breaking down Greenthumb’s list into fourths? This means no Tuesday OOTDs and no TARDIS Tuesdays either (unless I make it a point that at least one of my scavenged pics is blue)?
  2. continue with Treasure Tuesday throughout the year but only do it once a month, with all 12 pics in one post, probably at the end of each month. This way, I can still have TARDIS Tuesday OOTDs as well.
  3. do Treasure Tuesday as-is for this week only then let it go until next summer.

In case the answer ends up being #3, here are the pics of my picks from the August list.

Peace: Final beach day. Same place. Same time. Same people. Same amount of fun. Who says you can have too much of a good thing? We got to Laguna at 9am, parked our stuff at a prime spot (close to the restrooms and the water, both) and proceeded to enjoy sand and surf until about noon when the hoards came. This pic was obviously taken before noon. So I got three hours of uninterrupted writing time in my beach chair listening to the waves crash and the distant squeals of my children being well and properly entertained by someone other than me. Peace indeed!

W is for ?: Writing, of course. did you really think I would pass up this opportunity to talk yet again about my story? And did you think I would pass up what could be my last opportunity for a hammy Aly pic? This was taken at bedtime, when I happily ensconce myself in my second writing spot (bedroom, office chair, pull-out table from night stand, wireless keyboard). Aly came in and grabbed my notebook (the one I carry with me to places that aren’t tech friendly, like the beach), leafed through the pages, took note of my copious notes written in 8-point chicken scratch, and moued in part horror and part amazement.

Ball: This is the inside of the hubs’ nightstand drawer. This is how many balls Jack the Beast has brought into our bedroom, thinking he’d cajole us into a game of catch. This is how many times we’ve gotten so tired of his relentless, nudgy, wet nose in our faces as we try to sleep. And that’s just the hubs’ drawer; I have a stash of my own on my side. My dog is a dogged, single-minded, OCD-ed ball monster.

So what say you, gentle reader? Shall I choose option #1, option #2, or option #3? This is a style blog after all, but I shall cater to the desires of my loyal followers. Just let me know before next week, yeah? ๐Ÿ˜œ

  1. […] Peace, W is for?, Ball – I’d toyed with doing this feature as-is from summer so here was the post that addressed the first three challenges. […]

1 or 2, please. The tennis ball pic was funny! Love that your dog is dogged. Hope that your closet crisis was resolved.

  3. Val S says:

I’m glad to hear Aly is hamming it up – she looks well and truly upset!

I think you should do all your scavenger hunt photos in one post at the end of the month. Just like everyone else. I know it’ll be hard for you to hold them all back until then, but it’ll be good for you. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Patti says:

I love the ball drawer. Good dog! xo

  5. What if you kept Treasure Tuesday and made Thursday your TARDIS day (except the Third Thursday, of course)?
I really enjoy the glimpses into your life, so either option 1 or 2 get my vote. ๐Ÿ˜€

Oh, I could do that! Even if TARDIS Thursday isn’t alliterative, I think I could live with it. Yep, yep! I shall ponder over the weekend…

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
