OOTD :: of cheating just a little bit

This dress was in the cull pile. As in, folded and bagged and ready to go to the Goodwill.

Why? Because it’s just a wee bit too brazen for me. My bosoms need support and this dress doesn’t exactly afford me the best support. Sure, I could’ve kept it for summer wear, but let’s be honest – I live in cut-offs and tees in the summer and rarely do dresses unless forced to do so.

So, yeah. Cull pile.

But then came the call of the hibiscus and I realized this was an item that actually sported an honest-to-gosh hibiscus flower as its print. How could I resist? Of course, it is a maxi dress and we all now know my issues with maxis, but it was just too good of an opportunity to pass up.

So now, I’ve got a quandary – do I count this dress as one of my 50 Dresses? It was on its way to be donated so maybe no? But now that I’ve remixed it and seen its potential, maybe yes? Should I keep it?

While we all ponder and hopefully chime in on this first-world problem, how about some kudos to me for once again ramping up the professionalism in a potentially informal ensemble? I think I’m getting the hang of this remixing biz. I hope Selah‘s proud.

Can’t believe you were going to get rid of that. Yay for remixing!

Well, since we both know I’m not actually wearing this outfit today, maybe I’ll hang on to the dress for a bit longer so I can give it another go in the future.

  2. Of course I’m proud of your remixing! As far as counting this towards your 50 dresses – unless you cull a different dress, won’t it be 51 dresses?
