5 Things :: TARDIS skirting the issue

So once my Fiscal Fast is over, I know I want to own one of these beauties.

I also know the old me would’ve bought all five and would have subsequently regretted a too-much-of-a-good-thing scenario in my closet. After all, one can only have so many fan clothing items before one falls into the realm of age/work inappropriate geekdom.

Plus, I haven’t actually counted the number of skirts I own, but I’m certain it’s more than is healthy.

Why entertain the thought of these skirts, then? Well, hello! New Whovian here. And Halloween is right around the corner. And you can’t deny the ktischy charm of these skirts, even if you’re not of the fandom.

I am trying to do that whole “thinking about it” thing, though. I’ve already spoken to the Etsy shop owner and she’s assured me that she’ll have all these fabrics in stock by the time my official fasting is over in November, so I have the luxury of leisurely making up my mind.

Wanna help a sistah out? Which skirt do you think deserves the real estate in my closet?

  1. I couldn’t decide between 2 and 5 but I ultimately went with 5 because I think the pattern will be more versatile. So fun!

  2. Well, I had voted for #2, but if it’s out of the running, then 5. I think the allover print makes it more versatile than some of the others.

Can Courtney Woods please go away? She reminds me of Clara’s old charge Angie – annoying.

I think they need the proper teen for the job of Companion, if that’s where they’re taking it, and Courtney Woods is not it.

And yeah, versatility ftw so I guess #5 it is.

How can you not be keen on the space ones!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It gets So boring being on Earth, though I do like historical ones!
I haven’t watched it yet, so no spoilers please!
I like the last one as you know from my TARDIS wishlist, that’s the one I want to buy myself (or more specifically, hint like crazy when it gets nearer to Christmas!!!!), so if we don’t want to be internet twins, then I’d avoid that one 😉 , but I think no.3 is really cute as well and also subtle!!! Of course 2 is cute too!x

Ah, let me qualify: I like the space ones but not the enclosed, in-a-space-station-coz-I-feel-claustrophobic ones. It’s why I wasn’t particularly fond of the Dalek episode this season either. If you’re gonna give me space and an alien planet, I want scope in my scenery – not a lot of dark hallways and metal. I guess that’s why I love “Girl in the Fireplace” so much – it combined space and spectacle all in one.

      No spoilers from me! 😀

I found this estsy gal from your TARDIS wish list indeed, and I don’t mind being internet twins with you at all. Unless you mind? My daughter pointed out that I own a bag made out of #2 already so that’s actually out of the running, but I am partial to either #3 or #5 at this point…

Hard to choose, but the last, smallest print has the advantage of subtlety, if that’s ever applicable to Whovian prints or Whovian anything. It’s one of those pieces that will cause second looks … and third. Pretty cute, and you’ll wear it well.
Speaking of Who (if he was in an objective mood, would he be Dr. Whom?) … I really liked last night’s adventure on the moon. I love it when Clara gets that fed up. Interesting to leave three women to decide the issue for themselves, and how the issue was resolved.

This is exactly what my daughter said. Well, not in so many words, but she voted for the last print too for your reasons.

And I’m warming up to last night’s episode. I’m not a big space person and I usually prefer the historicals, but by the end of the show, I was riveted. I’m currently reading reviews of it right now and everyone seems to feel the same way as we do.

    Definitely 3 for me.

  6. Patti says:

I was just sitting here thinking about The Doctor, and up you popped! No bad choices; I like #5 the best.

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
