5 Things :: my walk of shame

So here’s the damage: 5 items from the Target/Altuzarra collab that ended up finding a home in my closet. For good or for ill, they’re here to stay because the promo stipulated a 14-day return policy and I’m way beyond that time limit.

When 50 Dresses is over, you can be sure I’ll be styling these goodies within an inch of their lives.

Altuzarra for Target Python Pencil Skirt- Natural

$34.99

Altuzarra for Target Jacquard Pencil Skirt- Black

$34.99

Altuzarra for Target Satin Orchid Print Oxford Shirt- Navy

$34.99

Altuzarra for Target Velvet Blazer- Ruby Hill

$59.99

Altuzarra for Target Button Down Dress- Black

$49.99

September grand total: approximately $225 with tax. If I kept with my original budget of $250 a month, this is actually pretty good for me. But if I’m going with my new budget of $150, then this month was a total bust. Of course, I wasn’t supposed to be spending anyway at this time, so it’s already a bust, but as Patti says, life’s too short for recriminations so I’m just gonna call this a wash.

  1. I reckon you could cosplay with that first skirt- it has similar colours to Clara’s Caretaker one!!! Wow, that’s a lot of items. I really like them! I know how you feel though. I really shouldn’t be buying and I feel my September and start of October, I have just been buying.I went out on Saturday and came back with a vintage dress, shirt, 2 hats, skirt, boots and clock cufflinks (all thrifted) but still, I HAVE.TOO.MANY.CLOTHES!!!!!!! x

    • Had to Google the Caretaker for images but you’re absolutely right! Now if only I can find some collar clips I like. And I say you’re all good with the shopping, especially since they’re all thrifted. And you can never have too many clothes. Just so long as your closet doesn”t come tumbling down around you. ;p

    • That’s what everyone said about the skirts but this is one instance when my vertically challenged-ness stands me in good stead. The slits aren’t scandalous on me at all.

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
