OOTD :: of oxblood, gold and Gryffindor

Hullo, Wordless Wednesday!

Thank you for time-turners, remembralls, Betie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, butter beer, sorting hats, wizard wands, and an entire world of wonder and magic. (I’m totally channeling my modern-day Minerva McGonagall in this get-up.)

So loving all the fandom-related outfits! That necklace is outstanding. You look so good in these colors!

I actually bought the compass and made it into a necklace during a fit of steampunk-y madness. I figured it could work as my own version of a time-turner, yeah? And I’m so happy you like my fandoms; we’re all just geeks at heart, aren’t we?

  2. This is one of my favorite outfits of yours! (I should have known I was going to love it when I saw “Gryffindor” in the title of your post). Let me list the things I love about this ensemble: the fit of the dress, the color combination, and that perfect HP accessory!

And to think I was going to give this dress away. The power of 50 Dresses strikes again! It forced me to wear this frock after all. Of course, I can’t take credit for this outfit – this was pure Aly. She was the one who reminded me of Gryffindor colors and yanked out this dress. It’s more purple than oxblood in real life but close enough, I think.

Ha! Read my reply to chessakat regarding that HP accessory! 😀

  3. Okay, so now I really need to get some royal blue in my wardrobe, so I can dress like the Ravenclaw I am. 😉

Even before I read this, I thought you were channeling Minerva.

  5. I’m loving the color combo–very fall-like! 🙂

Thank you! I just wish I’d used a better filter/had better lighting so the dress’s color could be portrayed more accurately.

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
