5 Things :: from the geekery

So my sis is in town from Boston and we’re probably gonna party hard and I can’t be bovvered thinking of five clever things if/when I’m hungover. For this week’s 5 Things feature, then, I give you bits and bites from The Geekery, my Pinterest board of cool (mostly Doctor Who) shite.

Because I’m a lazy arse like that.

Fantastic! Brilliant! Cool! https://www.facebook.com/The.Doctor.Who.Tardis

Catch phrases. Wonder what 12’s will be? Or has it already happened and I missed it?

"Fantastic!" "Allons-y!" "Geronimo!" ||| Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Doctors

Catch phrases part deux.

Last lines. | Did anyone else notice Matt looking directly at the camera as he said, "I will always remember when the Doctor was me" ....? Yeah. Just thought I'd accidentally make everything hurt even worse..... sorry.

Last lines. I must admit, I do love 9’s the best, although 11’s is so poignantly bittersweet.

Only the most important females ever.

Nu Who Companions. How many say Rory needs to be here too?

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why I prefer the man with two hearts and a sonic screwdriver.

Because all kinds of YES.

Interesting that all the companions have a sort of title! X

Yeah, I didn’t know that until I saw this Pin. Of course, I think Martha’s is a bit of a stretch, but then again, she seems the most marginalized of all the Nu Companions, at least on this side of the pond. How was the reaction of her over your way?

  2. Patti says:

Did you see the tiny, purse-sized Tardis last night? I want one. xox

  3. Perfect 5 things for this week! You’re right, Rory “The Last Centurion” Williams should be on the list of candidates companions.

And how did you find Flatline this weekend? I was properly creeped out, especially by the nerve mural on the wall. Shudder…

      • Where did the word candidates come from in my comment? I’m still getting used to iOS 8 – it does weird stuff sometimes. 😕

Flatline was a fun episode! I enjoyed seeing Clara take the lead, and how doing so changed her. Did you notice how dismissive she was of Rigsy’s work in the tunnels? Very Doctor-esque.

I was wondering what you meant about “candidates”. LOL. Phone junkie! ;p

Flatline is probably my fave episode of the series so far. But then again, I’ve always enjoyed the “Doctor lite” episodes. And yes, I noticed an extremely Doctor-ish vibe from Clara all throughout. Lovely!

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
