The edict: “a fit and flare dress, a hat, a pendant necklace, tights, booties, a cross-body bag, arrow inspired jewelry, cognac leather, and emerald green”.

Since I’m still recuperating from 50 Dresses, and since I don’t own any of the aforementioned accessories except for hats and I wasn’t feeling hat-y, the decision was simple: emerald green. Or, at least my version of emerald green anyway. Considering the fact that it’s a jewel tone and I’m a cool winter and therefore am pretty much mandated to wear all jewel tones, it’s pretty sad that I hardly have anything emerald in my closet. Because if we were being technical here, the top is more a spring green and the cardi is decidedly forest.

Ah, but let’s focus instead on those Chelsea boots, shall we? I mean, look at them! They’re stark white and they totally steal the show. I’d purchased them on a whim and because Angie @ you look fab spoke so highly of hers at one point and I became obsessed. Never mind that our aesthetics are diametric opposites and that I had nothing to go with them.

I’m still a bit uncertain as to whether they even go with today’s ensemble, but I think I like their quirkiness here. This is a bit pushing the envelope for me, though; even more so than Tuesday’s outrageous leggings. Perhaps because the shoes are so. very. white.

Now, if anyone can suggest more outfit ideas for white Chelsea boots, I’d be forever grateful.

Vive le vendredi!

    • Ha! If only it were that simple! Can you imagine – chameleon clothes that blend colors when worn together! Someone should invent that!

    • It was the first thing I thought of when I saw “emerald” sine we both know how sadly lacking in green my closet is. Thanks again, my friend, for saving my sartorial bum!

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
