TARDIS Tuesday :: of looking fly in an ugly sweater

Do people still say “fly”? In that slang context? Or did I just thoroughly date myself?

Regardless, can I just say how much I struggled with this Spirit Week theme? Oh, I know the “ugly Christmas sweater” thing is rampant in our society – there’s a Master’s thesis waiting to be written! – but that doesn’t mean I succumbed and bought one. Heck, I don’t think I even own anything remotely “ugly”, let alone a Christmas sweater.

Lucky for me, ASB didn’t specify holiday; it’s just “Ugly Sweater” Day, which leaves it open to interpretation. And this is mine. Because some people – Ahem! My husband! – think bejeweled bunnies are the apex of hideous, and although I think it’s utterly adorable, I think it must count.

Of course, it being TARDIS Tuesday and all, I threw in a blue plaid shirt and blue skinnies to be compliant to my own linkup. And because it was forecasted to rain today, I chose my go-to rain footwear so my tootsies remain warm and dry.

Missions accomplished.

Now let’s see what other folks have got for us, yeah? Link below if you’re sporting some TARDIS-esque swag. And don’t forget about T3 – Best or Worst Read of 2014 on Thursday!

    • Wish I’d gotten a pic with the TARDIS blue scarf I threw on at the last minute on my way out the door. It totally picked up the blue of the cuffs much better than the collar did and it had fuzzy pom poms on the ends. You would totally have loved it!

  3. Yes, I think it’s still used, and you do look fly. If the bunny is bejeweled, that makes better sense … can’t really see it well, but the little rabbit looks armored from here. Lends a tougher look to the outfit … but you’re adorable even in your bathrobe and jammies. And we can all state that with authority!

  4. You mentioned last week that plaid somehow works for TARDIS Tuesday…and I hope that is still correct! If not, please forgive my non-conforming link! I really need to get on this Dr. Who business so I know what your talking about.

In other news, I’m SO glad that you posted your ugly sweater concoction! I think it works perfectly!

    • Plaid is very Clara Oswald which is very Doctor Who since she’s the Doctor’s current traveling companion. So link away, my friend! And yes, you inspired me to think outside the box with my interpretations, so thank you for giving me the idea for today’s ugly sweater theme.

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
