TARDIS Tuesday :: of all the things I heart

This week is brought to you by: “a fit-and-flare dress, a cardigan or blazer, tights, suede wedge booties, a bow belt, cobalt blue and animal print”.

For your viewing pleasure, I give you: the blazer and cobalt blue, of course.

The extra bits: Since this week marks the beginning of my four-day Presidents’ Holiday weekend, I shall not being posting an OOTD on Friday. But I definitely want to keep up my track record for participating in Blogging Besties. And since Whitney made it too easy for me this week, I decided to kill many birds with one stone today.

Because cobalt blue is just another way of saying TARDIS blue in my book so it was a no-brainer of a choice. And then, as you may remember from yesterday, this week is Anne’s “I heart…” theme over at SpyGirl, and everyone knows I heart all things Whovian.

So if I take all these components into consideration, today’s ensemble is no surprise. Putting them all together and posting them today is no surprise either. And just in case there was any doubt, I threw on one of the first Doctor Who tees purchased from Threadless.

The juxtaposition of casual tee with professional blazer and flirty tulle skirt is right up my alley. You know what else is right up my alley? The anticipation of a four-day weekend!

Squeeeeeeeeeee! That’s how I feel about this outft. So. Much. Squeeeeeeeeee! That skirt is so adorbs, paired wth the casual T (look at you, knotting your tee! Stop it, you’re going to make me try it!). I might have to brave the mall for a blazer like that! So great!

  5. Kezzie says:

Love it!!! TARDIS blue plus a subconscious nod to Rose in The Idiot’s Lantern (you know the one with The Wire)

  6. Robin says:

Oh, me too! But my daughter talked me out of it and I passed on it. But I couldn’t stop thinking of it and when I tried to put one on hold several weeks later, they didn’t have it in my size. Thank goodness for online shopping. I say if you want it, you snap up this bad boy. I kid you not – I felt pretty and happy all day!

  7. Patti says:

Woo-hoo! That tee with a floofy skirt is beyond inspired. All kinds of thumbs up. xox

  8. Ada says:

Yeaaaay, I finally remembered to link up Maricel. Your white tulle skirt is gorgeous and I love it with the cobalt blazer. I need a cobalt blazer. This is such a romantic but unexpected look which would be great for V-Day. I think you would like my skirt today, also. =)

Have a Great Valentine’s week, Maricel!

Here’s to four day weekends! You look ready to dance your way into the fun! (And you’re still in that library! Any good books in there?)

    • Anne M Bray aka SpyGirl says:

I added a quickie TARDIS flashback that I ran across while deep cleaning my desk clutter. I think my better effort for the week will have to be postponed.
Between work and working on the Palm Springs event I could sure use a spa day! Exhausted!

      • mtsedwards says:

I say you schedule a spa day for sure. Isn’t that what Palm Springs is famous for anyhow? Oh, and golf, but let’s not go there.

    • mtsedwards says:

Good books if you like fantasy and young adult. 🙂

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
