OOTD :: of taglines, roses and the great outdoors

British, blue or Doctor Who.

I woke up with this refrain resounding in my brain the other day, captivated not only because it rhymed but because it was true. I do love all of the above, so why not make it the rallying cry for TARDIS Tuesday? This way, my linkup won’t seem so exclusive to Whovians (even though we both know it’ll still skew toward all things Doctor Who, don’t we?)

That said, today’s outfit incorporates two of the three.

I decided to take my new suede OTK boots for a spin, and how convenient that they’re blue. Then, because I’ve been accused of dressing like Rose Tyler even when I hadn’t meant to, I chose to be deliberate in my Companion inspiration this time by wearing a skirt comprised of fabric roses as a tribute to aforementioned.

It would’ve been a perfect three-fer if I had worn a British top rather than a Paris one, but at the time of this photo shoot, my second batch of graphic tees from Old Navy hadn’t come in yet. Stay tuned for the London version this Friday.

By the way, for those of you who preferred my library indoor shots to my side-of-the-house outdoor ones, they shall return by the end of the week. Full disclosure compels me to admit that I have several outfits and photos on reserve from weeks ago and I’ve got to wear them all before I run out of hanging room in the staging area of my bathroom.

Yeah. First-world problems. /insert abashed emoji here

So, British, blue or Doctor Who…care to share your ensemble?

Those BOOTS! You are killing me! So freaking fabulous. This is a very Rose outfit, so great!

And I love the new tagline, it’s perfect!

I read your comment and thought immediately of The Sandlot. “You’re killin’ me, Smalls!” LOL!

I’m glad you approve of the new tagline; I just hope I don’t get in trouble for copyright infringement. ;p

    Seriously, those boots are amazing!!!!
Ha, like you minded being accused of being Rose!
Two links from me today 😉
I have been promoting TARDIS Tuesday to people and several have said they’d join in but keep forgetting- boo hiss!!!!
I will see if I can promote again!

I did have to Photoshop it a bit to show the blue – they’re really not THAT vibrant IRL, but I do agree to the general awesomeness of OTK boots.

Thanks for all the promoting at your end and you know I’m happy to host as many folks as are interested/willing. But the introvert in me is also perfectly content with my tried and true buddies who consistently link every Tuesday. It makes the linkup feel exclusive, you know? 😀

  5. The skirt also reminds me of one of Rose’s most iconic looks:

    • mtsedwards says:

I wonder if that’s why they picked that particular shade for her outfit. Like, if it was a deliberate thing because of her name. And I wonder if they realized how iconic it would become amongst Whovians…

  6. Anne M Bray aka SpyGirl says:

You are adorable! That skirt is all kinds of wonderful.

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
