In my over-achieving fervor to get in as many outfit photos as possible during my time off, I did not account for the weather.
Of course not.
So today’s initial outfit – although supercute and very Doctor Who – simply did not do for today’s temps (mid-90s. Ugh!). And because I really wanted to enjoy the long weekend and not have to think overmuch about ensemble creations, I hied myself over to good ol’ Pinterest and did a quick search for “British style”.
Yep, if the tagline for TARDIS Tuesday is “British, blue or Doctor Who”, then it’s about time I focused on the first bit more, shouldn’t I? The problem, of course, is that – aside from a two-week whirlwind bus tour all over Europe in my twenties – I have no concrete, firsthand knowledge of Britain beyond what I read in books and see on BBCAmerica. And I’m not one for gossip/fashion/people rags. So forgive me my Pinterest-ing (it’s like the Wikipedia of research, isn’t it?) and please, British blogging brethren, school me in the ways of your fashion!
While I await further instructions, however, my offering for the day is based on this infographic:
Tea dress? Check.
Biker jacket? Check.
Chunky boots? Check – Chelsea ones, no less.
I feel like I’ve done this exact look before (and I’m sure some enterprising reader will get me the direct link to it), but the intent is different? And even if not, perhaps it’s time for me to resign myself to the fact that some items in my closet simply gravitate toward each other and I just have to embrace the repeat.
And you, my friends? Anything British, blue or Doctor Who this week? Do link and tell by clicking the froggy below. Or visit Kezzie @ KezzieAG and join in the fun over there. Kezzie has very generously agreed to continue co-hosting TT with me and I couldn’t be happier. She’s my Doctor Who expert, after all, so I’m humbled that she’s become my partner in crime.
