Hullo, Wordless Wednesday!

No thank you for being the hottest day of the week – 98 degrees in autumn? Are you kidding me?! – but thank you for the opportunity to wear even more of my summer acquisitions. Perhaps not very professional but I’m not my best in the heat, so I think my students will excuse my informality in exchange for a happy me.

    • Oh, this sounds intriguing! I’ve tried multiple times to go on a similar challenge, but the compulsion for something new thwarts that resolution. Maybe you have some tips for me?

      • Try setting a goal around not shopping, like saving up for something you really want or going out to do something fun with that cash instead. That’s what I’m doing 🙂 I also like the idea of ditching my need to buy more clothes in order to feel happy or trendy. A little minimalism is great for the self esteem.

        • Ah, but what if what I really want is a new pair of shoes or a super cute skirt? And I’m such a homebody that doing something fun requires no money and binge watching Netflix. LOL. I think I shall simply live vicariously through you on this abstinence, my friend.

          • lol, alright but feel free to pick an OOTD for me to wear from the clothes that I currently have in my closet. I will wear them in a post and give you a shoutout

  1. Wait, remind me, have I seen this Milly skirt before?? I love it! And that you styled it with a denim vest…you KNOW how I feel about denim vests. It was super hot here at the beginning of this week but it seems to be cooling off now. I will hope for the same for you! How’s the temperature of your classroom? Mine is roasting and I haven’t even gotten those little junior high bodies in there yet!

    • This was a supersale Milly purchase, not part of my original full retail price haul. And yes, I was actually thinking of you when I threw on the vest. LOL. My classroom is perfectly set at a chilly 70; thank Buddha I’m right by the chiller and it doesn’t take as long to pump cool air into my classroom.

    • Maxi skirt shrink! As in, I bought this in the summer in the midst of my campaign against expansion and now that I’m winning said campaign, I’m hoping I can shrink this sucker so it’s not falling off me.

Tell me all about it! I'm listening...
